What Each Price Buys You
Every package starts the same way: hand wash, clay bar, iron decontamination, a digital paint inspection, a Stage 1 polish, and Ceramic Pro Glass on the windshield. The difference is what goes on the paint:
- Essential Coat: one layer of Ceramic Pro Top Coat. 2-year warranty.
- Advanced Coat: one layer of Ceramic Pro 9H plus one layer of Top Coat. 5-year warranty.
- Ultimate Coat: four layers of Ceramic Pro 9H plus Top Coat, with the plastics and wheels coated and infrared curing. Lifetime warranty.
Why the Prep Is Most of the Price
A coating bonds to whatever is on the paint and locks it in. That’s why every package starts with a wash, a clay bar and an iron remover, then a digital inspection and a polish. When you compare prices between shops, the prep is the first thing to ask about, because a cheap coating on unprepared paint seals in the swirls and contamination that were already there.

Cost Per Year of Warranty
A simple way to compare the packages is to divide the price by the warranty years:

If you trade cars every two years, the Essential Coat fits. If you plan to keep the car, the Advanced Coat costs less per year of coverage, and the Ultimate Coat makes sense for a car you’ll keep for a long time. What Can Add to the Price
- Paint correction beyond Stage 1. Every package includes one polishing step. Swirls and scratches that need more, like on the Audi and the Mustang above, are quoted after we inspect the paint.
- Add-on coatings: Wheel & Caliper, Plastic, Leather and Textile.
- Paint protection film. PPF guards against rock chips, which a coating doesn’t. It’s quoted per vehicle by coverage: partial front, full front or full vehicle. We can coat on top of it, as on this Rivian R1S. See paint protection film and is PPF worth it.
Which Size Is My Vehicle?
Our prices come in three sizes: car, mid-size SUV and oversize truck. A Mustang GT is a car. A Toyota RAV4, an Audi Q5 and a Lexus NX are mid-size SUVs. If you’re not sure where yours falls, send us the model and we’ll tell you.

Coating quotes are hard to compare because they leave things out. Ask every shop the same questions; here are our answers:

Coating and Tint on the Same Visit
Tint goes on the inside of the glass and the coating on the outside, so both can be done together. The Lexus NX and the Toyota RAV4 both got Autobahn Ceramic i3 tint with their coating. Does the price include paint correction?
Every package includes a Stage 1 polish. Correction for deeper swirls and scratches is quoted after we inspect the paint.
Why does ceramic coating cost more on an SUV or truck?
More surface area takes more product and more hours, from the wash and decontamination to the polish and the coating.
Is the cheapest ceramic coating worth it?
Only if the prep is included. Ask what happens to the paint before the coating goes on; our cheapest package includes the same prep as the most expensive one.
What brand of ceramic coating do you use?

Is the windshield included?
